May 20, 2015 chainsaw trauma to my left wrist. Nervus medianus damaged. After 3 weeks diagnosed with Sudeck's. One year of experimentation with medication, plasters, Neurontin, betablockers, etc neurostimulator until it was finally decided that Lyrica was the best option. The pain is still there and sometimes it won't go away but then I take oxynorm and OxyContin until it does go. We are still ...

After starting on 3 x a day 50 mg lyrica I had to increase to 2 x a day 150 mg because of nerve pain from the hernia. The only side effect is a dry mouth. The problems I had with urine retention because of the hernia have now gone away thanks to the lyrica.

After fracturing my heel and an operation for severe neuralgia. Pain specialist prescribed lyrica with gradual increase. For the past month I have struggled with tingling in my head. I want to know if this is caused by the lyrica??? Given me a really nervous and anxious feeling. Just enough or not quite enough blood is getting to my brain. Is this a recognised phenomenon is there anyone here wh...

I definitely benefit from Lyrica, but only as far as the nerve pain in my legs goes. As soon as I notice the pain coming on, I take a bit more than 150 mg because I have no time for pain that isn't necessary.

The first 4 days it made me feel sleepy during the day, but the painful tingling in my hands was gone. So I continued and now even the sleepiness has disappeared.

Pregabaline was prescribed for sleep disorder, more specifically restless movement during sleep. My partner tells me I sleep more quiet, less movement. However it did give me constipation (slow bowel movement), which disappeared when I stopped the medication.

The nerve pain was in my right buttock and was really bad. The first day I took this, I was almost ecstatic with the result: the pain was, near enough, completely gone. The second day the pain came back in full force.

Switched to Lyrica after trying amitriptyline and prozac. Haven't had a single moment of regret. Pain (due to MS) almost totally gone as well as the side effects from amitriptyline. Occasional issues with a dry mouth but apart from that, side-effect and pain free!

This drug is supposed to work for nerve pain. From by lower right back - because of trapped nerve - pain radiates from my groin into my knee. Walking and standing are the worst, sitting and lying are okay. Unfortunately it's no good for me. It only gives me side effects, like dizziness, loss of concentration and less desire for sex. I actually feel like the pain is getting worse.

Together with paracetamol - 3x 1000 mg a day - in agreement with the GP - first week 2x 75 mg a day had no effect, dose was doubled, GP consented, no effect, so stopped after 3 weeks. Side effects: light-headedness, reduced sense of balance, no desire for sex, before getting up in the morning a leaden feeling in my body. It seemed like the pain was worse than before. Medication was tried becaus...

I started off taking 2x 25 mg in the first week, then two weeks on 2x 50 mg and I'm now taking 75 mg. I really think this is a fantastic drug. Since I was 16 walking has always caused me pain and now I'm virtually pain-free. It's only if I've had a stressful day or I spent too long on my scooter that the pain comes back. Up to now I have also been using fentanyl plasters but I want to stop taki...

I have been diagnosed with small fibre neuropathy and polyneuropathy. There are all kinds of different symptoms, but the most common were the varying kinds of pain. I took tramadol and paracetamol on advice from the GP. With insufficient results. I went to the neurologist and there I was prescribed lyrica. To start off with, 75 mg twice a day, but that didn't seem to have any effect. The dose w...

Excellent medicine in terms of effectiveness, but quite a few side effects which don't really go away in long term use which is less than desirable because I need it for the long term. However fantastic pain relief effect.

I've never suffered from any side effects. In the beginning I thought that the medication was doing its job. The nerve pain was considerably less. But whether or not that was down to the medication I don't know. Because on the same day that I started taking Lyrica I was also treated at a pain management clinic. Now a few months since starting it I got the impression that both the pain managemen...

I was prescribed Lyrica because of a general anxiety disorder. I found it to be a terrible medicine. It was like I was addicted to drugs; I felt like my head was full of cotton wool, I was constantly hot and my coordination was also really bad, I couldn't walk in a straight line and after that I got palpitations which then made me anxious again. Also really bad tinnitus and forgetfulness; I was...

Lyrica is indispensable for me. Tegretol and Keppra made me really ill, even affected my liver function. I've been taking Lyrica by Pfizer for years but now I've got Sandoz and it doesn't work so well and really dizzy.

Worked for me within just five weeks! Luckily I didn't stop just carried on and the side effects disappeared. I can now stand for a quarter of an hour which I wasn't able to do before because of the extreme pain, operations didn't have any effect either. I am happy with Lyrica. Tip: don't give up too quickly.

Hello everyone, I started taking Lyrica a few days ago and since then I have read a lot of experiences about it. The thing I've read most is about weight gain. Is there anyone who hasn't been affected by this medicine?

This is the second time I have been given lyrica. I find it a scary medicine because you're half out of the world and I couldn't walk straight at all. The first time I took it, it didn't reduce or get rid of the pain at all. I rang a pharmacist and she told me that you will only feel the effects after a couple of days...let's hope so because I can't bear this pain in my leg. Just taken it for t...
