I have been using this stuff for years, it works well for a long time, now that i am getting more sick, i have noticed that it doesn't work as well anymore. Downside is that once you start taking it it's very difficult to stop.

Previous usage worked fine but for some reason i am now suffering from side effects and it doesn't seem to be working so well. The panic attacks still manage to make their way through. On the 20th of December i'm going to increase my dosage to 30mg.

It is worth gritting your teeth to get through the first 2 weeks because it makes your symptoms 10 times worse. This is a part of it all though and you need to persevere. After 3/4 weeks I felt no more pain and after 7/8 weeks I was starting to feel good. It takes a while though. After a year and a half I can properly enjoy my life again and I have decided to start coming off them. I'm doing th...

ALmost straight away started with the difficulties going to the bathroom. I had a blood test and it showed that 16 drops weren't enough so I moved on to 20 drops to even get the smallest of effects. It was so difficult to go to the bathroom that I had to go back. Back down to 14 drops then later to 10. It was still difficult to go to the bathroom. I'm definitely stopping with this now though be...

This drug helped me get the sharp edges off and my fear is as good as disappeared. Sometimes I'm even slightly too careless lately. It certainly flattens, but for a sensitive person like me (who was almost always under tension) it has long been a relief. I was there. I use it now 1.5 years and it goes well with me. I dare everything again and feel much more confident. I would therefore like to ...

The first 10 days I suffered from side effects. Those days I really had to get through. For this I used Lorazepan. After 14 days I noticed the first positive effect and after 3 weeks I really snapped up. I use this medium now for 8 weeks and have more good than bad days. I am very happy about it.

I've been taking citalopram since 15 March. I started on 10 mg but I had to increase pretty quickly to 30 mg. I got loads of bad side effects. My panic attacks just seemed to get worse and I started having suicidal thoughts. So the doctors reduced my dose a bit, to 25 mg. It seemed to be a little better but I'm suffering again with suicidal thoughts and panic attacks. I wonder if anyone else on...

I've been using citalopram 10 mg for 4 weeks. For panic attacks. As far as they are concerned this is definitely helping, but I'm dizzy all day long, nauseous and have absolutely no appetite... Anyone else have this experience?

Works well for aggressiveness, calming your temper and anxieties. It actually works on your metabolism and tends to make you drowsy, and on top of that, your libido packs it all in! In principle I am against medicine but in this case, I think it's practically necessary.

Hello. I've been taking Citalopram for a long time now. Because I'd like to get pregnant, the doctor said I have to come off it. I was on 30 mg .. now on 15 mg. I also take 100 mg trazodone. Coming off Citalopram is really hard. I'm now on a half-dose but I've got to keep going. Starting to get anxious again, quickly irritated, hardly any interest in sex, tired, lifeless, irritating itch, press...

I started taking citalopram 6 years ago and about one year ago I stopped. Things aren't going so well for me again now and I've just started back on them. I've just started with 5 mg. I can't remember what dose I was on the last time I started though. So I'm curious to see if the side effects are just as bad on 5 mg. Has anyone got any advice?

Before I started taking this medicine I couldn't even get out of my front door. If I managed to get a foot outside, I immediately started full-on panicking. I've been on this now for 7 weeks and my panic attacks are pretty much gone. I can think rationally about my anxieties and the therapy has become much more effective. The first week I really suffered with side effects though (dizziness, shi...

I've been taking citalopram 10 mg now for 4 weeks I had to cancel loads of stuff in the first week because of the side effects.. It was a hellish week indeed. I was prescribed citaolphram for my breakdown and the first few weeks were good until the side effects started, I quickly lost it. The dose was increased but it didn't get any better, panic attacks kept on coming and I could hardly leave my house any more, large groups of people caused me to spiral into panic. After 8 months I switched to another medicine. My advice for breakdown... make sure y...

I've been using citalopram since 3 March. Although there were a few side effects in the first week, such as a worsening of the symptoms, dizziness and headache, they went away after 2-3 weeks. Ultimately I'm now feeling a little better and I would definitely recommend this medication to others to see if it helps them as well.

Citalopram had no positive effect on me (only side effects: diarrhoea, nausea). Antidepressants have a different effect per person, so don’t let it stop you from trying any. Lots of people probably have good results taking these tablets. And don’t be scared to talk to your doctor and try different medication!

I started on 40 mg when I was suffering from a severe depression that had gone on for years. This medicine helped almost immediately. Now I can reduce it after a few years. So I have been taking 20 mg since last year and increase to 30 mg if my depression gets worse. If I hadn't have had this medicine, my life would have been incredibly hard indeed.

Recently (it hasn't even been two weeks yet) I increased from 30 mg to 40 mg. I have noticed a lot of side effects. Lots of anxiety...panic...disquiet...feeling stressed, exhausted. I'm looking for a bit of support here. That it will get better...that it's worth persevering. Or if anyone else recognises these side effects. It seems like I've fallen right back. Like everything that I have learne...

I have continued taking Citalopram from 21st of February. The first week 10mg, since the 2nd week 20mg. The side effects are very disagreeable. I often feel sad, nauseous, my appetite has disappeared the last 3 weeks and recently I’m also having breathing problems. Makes me worried it’s not a depression but a burn-out I’m having. How long does it take for the side effects to subside? I read it ...

Here’s a positive experience for a change. I’ve been taking these tablets for four weeks now and I am super satisfied. I feel like I can breathe again and feel like myself! The first two weeks I had side effects: diarrhoea, nausea, no appetite. These completely disappeared. After three weeks I really feel a difference and I feel like doing things again. I even catch myself giggling like I did b...

Had 4 very tough weeks of getting used to 40 mg Citolapram. Don’t know how long I’ll be able to keep this up. Just feel nauseous all day long and it’s made my Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) worse.

Felt like flying, like I could fulfil all my potential. Only I couldn’t function sexually, which is a price too high for me. The drops were easy in use.

I am really happy with this medicine. When I was introducing it and coming off it I certainly did have a lot of problems with side effects (gloomy feelings/more crying). But in the period in between when I was on them, the side effects disappeared, I was just often tired. Didn't have any problems with weight gain. Combined with weekly session with a psychologist, this product was really very he...

After the panic attacks started taking my life over more and more, I gave in and started taking this medicine. Was fine for the first 2 days, but then the misery began. The anxiety was exacerbated, I felt drunk, nauseous and had a dry mouth. Above all it was the anxiety that left me thinking "where has all this come from?". My GP had warned about this and emphasized that I should counteract it ...

works well if you suffer from bad panic attacks, also lessens the feeling of anxiety which means you can start to rebuild your daily rhythm. Which for me was totally controlled by anxiety and panic. The disadvantage is that it negatively affects your brain which means you sometimes forget things.

Got this after my psychosis and depression 6 years ago. Since then I've been taking anti-psychotics and 20 mg citalopram but because the two medicines didn't go together very well I got really bad side effects like mood swings. They only figured out after a while that that way why they were happening, then I got artane for the side effects and it went well. I have reduced my anti-psychotics and...

started on Monday, 10 mg a day and they are really affecting me. Considering seeing what half a pill does for me. Constant feeling of "cotton wool" in my head. Really tired, was really nauseous yesterday and my symptoms, like not being allowed to drive, were really bad. Took my tablet after work yesterday and that seemed to be a bit better, felt fine this morning, except very tired, I could jus...

I've been using this medicine for a while now and I'm getting on better with it than paroxetine. I haven't had problems with any kind of side effects. I used this back in 2013, but then I got Crohn's disease and I couldn't handle it any more so I switched to paroxetine but it didn't have the desired effect.

I started taking this medicine for mood swings, anxiety and compulsive thoughts. I found it worked okay when I was on on 30 mg. The side effects (yawning) went away after two weeks, apart from the wild dreams and loss of libido. Citalopram left me with no desire for sex at all. I also tried 20 mg Fluoxetine, but this also lowered my libido and I also just couldn't get on with it. I'm now lookin...

I started taking Citalopram (30mg) after I had tried Fluoxetine (Prozac) but I wasn't able to climax on this medication. I was taking it for mood swings, anxiety and compulsive thoughts. I'm starting to come off it this week because the Citalopram has caused me to have no interest in sex whatsoever, for about a whole month. It also doesn't work that well, the Fluoxetine was better. I am now sea...
