After a slow increase, I am now taking 100 mg but I still haven't noticed any improvement. The psychiatrist said that it can still be increased up to 400 mg. So I'm hoping that we'll eventually get to a dose that helps me.

Whilst I was building the strength up when switching from another epilepsy drug no side effects. But now that I only use Lamotrigine 100 mg once a day in the evening, I get quite bad palpitations, such that I am short of breath. Facial pain (trigeminal neuralgia). Throughout the day countless bouts of shooting pains in my left cheek. From dentist to GP to neurologist. After having kidneys checked and an MRI scan: Lamotrigine. In 4 weeks increased from 25 to 100 mg. In the meantime coming off 500 mg Naproxen that only helped a little bit.
