Whilst I was building the strength up when switching from another epilepsy drug no side effects. But now that I only use Lamotrigine 100 mg once a day in the evening, I get quite bad palpitations, such that I am short of breath. That's why, on advice from the neurologist, I have switched to twice daily doses of 50 mg. It's going a bit better, sometimes I still have a few mild palpitations. Also, I am regularly waking up with a headache. I am prone to migraines though so that might be why.
