My troubles increase over time. In January, after my ablation, I was well for a month and then I felt extreme fatigue. My doctor then increased my dosage of lévothyrox and I went from 100 to 125. I am appalled to see that the formula has been changed, and that it leaves me no choice. In view of the very important and disabling side effects, it is necessary to restore the old formula as soon as possible and leave the choice to each one. I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid. The doctor started me on a low dose, 12.5 mg. I am always careful about what I eat, make sure I keep active, but I haven't lost any weight, if anything, I'm putting it on!! So I am really hoping this will help me. Took this for about 9 weeks and for 9 weeks had really bad headaches, was nauseous, not able to do anything, getting depressed after switching from thyrax to levothyroxine. Thyrax is available again but the GP has given me less, 75 mcgr instead of 100 mcgr. Hardly and complaints with thyrax, but now loads of them! Really bad muscle pain every day, always exhausted. Quick weight gain. I take them regularly but sometimes get really hyper.

Medicine with loads of side effects that affect my daily ability to function. After half an hour I get a headache, stomach pain and dizziness ... Combined with other medicines for asthma, heart and cholesterol problems, I would not recommend this medicine.

My thyroid has been knackered by radioactive iodine. Used Elthyrone 100 micrograms for years. Two years ago the formula was changed, as was the name, to L-Thyroxine. Haven't had any side effects.

I'm on levotyraxine since December 2016, first 25ug now I take 75ug (last 3 weeks). At the start I was often dizzy and felt like I had the flu. These last 2 weeks I’ve been bothered by a sore throat, as if it’s squeezed. I sleep a lot less, feel a bit woolly in my head and have a burning sensation in my eyes. My weight has not changed!

I felt great the first 3 weeks after changing from Thyrax to Levoxthyroxine. Since August, this medicine has been supplied in blister packs and the tablets are a bit bigger. 3 weeks after starting to take these tablets from the blister packs, I found that the medicine wasn't working very well any more, my blood levels were no good and I had loads of complaints.
