Anxiety symptoms disappeared, but I put on 16 kg and developed horrendous eczema which meant I ended up spending 2 days a week for 3 months undergoing light therapy in the hospital.

I've now been using Fluoxetine for over a year for my depression. Over the past year I've been taking 40 mg (2 capsules) a day. It helped me through a bad time. I am now at the point where I want to try coming off it. I've halved the dose down to 20 mg but I've noticed that I'm sliding backwards again. I'm anxious again, feel worthless, I'm easily irritated and moody. Recently I have not been a...

Happily taken fluoxetine by PCH for about 3 years for severe PMS symptoms. This month I switched to Centrafarm which, on paper, has the exact same composition. Now for the first time in years I feel awful in the week before my period. It is hell. Recognise any of this?

I started off taking citalopram for a few months but it didn't do anything for me. Been on 30 mg fluoxetine for 3 months now but I feel really bad on it. Dead tired, always tense, lump in my throat. Almost given up hope on it. The doctor said that I have to be patient but it's taking such a long time for anything positive to happen. I started taking this medicine for mood swings, anxiety and compulsive thoughts. It worked well when I was on 20 mg. The side effects (yawning) went away after two weeks apart from the wild dreams and loss of libido. Fluoxetine made me less interested in sex and also unable to climax. I then tried Citalopram 30 mg, but this also caused a total loss of libido. I'm now on the look out for an effe...

I've been taking a low dose of fluoxetine for almost a year now and I'm really happy with it. In the first few weeks I had a bit of muscle pain but nothing since. I have put on a bit of weight but I can cope with that. I feel much better and I've got much more of a lust for life.

I'm mostly interested in the experiences people have had with changes in their weight. Is there anyone who's used Prozac/Fluoxetine who wants to tell me about it? I need to start taking this but can't find out anything about it. So I'm not sharing my experience here, this is just a question. I hope that that's still okay!
