When I feel a migraine coming on, I take 2 excedrin. It often then goes away. But if it doesn't then I also take 1 zolmitriptan and it is almost always completely gone within one hour (but I do also go and lie down in a darkened room). I do have to say that I get headaches every day though and they end up being migraines if I don't take anything. Zolmitriptan is the only way then that I am able...

Chronic cluster headaches since 2007. Verapamil has always worked for me. But I had to take more and more (420 mg a day). Then you have to stop for 6 months so that when you go back to it, it is more effective. Topirimate also worked for a while but it gave me really bad palpitations,stopped and afterwards insufficient effect (reverse familiarisation) Now no more prophylactic medicines for 6 mo...

Migraines for years and the only thing that helps is zomig. 2.5 mg. Migraine every day, often at night. But I do have a brain tumour, grade III oligodendroglioma.

After searching for the right migraine medicine with the GP for a long time, we found zolmitriptan 2.5 mg. it went really well for the first few months, quick to absorb and quick to work. Downside was that you needed to go to bed and try to sleep. It got less effective the more I took and eventually had no effect at all. That's why I finally decided to go the headache clinic.
