Pantoprazole (40mg) for oesophagitis

This drug was prescribed by my GP to help calm my stomach. I had an irritated oesophagus in my upper breastbone. GP thought that it was caused by my stomach. The symptoms certainly went away. But after using this drug for a few days, I began to get increasingly nauseous. firstly just in the evenings, then in the mornings too. As the days progressed, the times when I had no problems whatsoever b...

Pantoprazole (20mg) for gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GORD)

I use metformin, simvastatine and galvus for diabetes type II. By using all of these gather I took my blood sugar levels low, around 6.5. I do suffer with a lot of acid reflux and it feels like my food is coming into my throat. My GP advised me to start taking pantoprazole 1 x 50 mg per day for a month. Follow up after one month and if there is no change I will have a colonoscopy.

Pantoprazole (20mg) for gastric protector

I've been using this for a week now and I can't honestly say if it helps or not. I've got a dry mouth and I wonder if it can make you gain weight?

Pantoprazole (40mg) for gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GORD)

My husband uses this. And lots of other stronger medicine too. Really suffered both day and night. All of this heartburn resulted in the start of oesophageal cancer. Then the valve between his stomach and oesophagus became constricted so he had an operation. Afterwards no more problems and the cancer had gone too. If we had known that, we would have had the operation a lot sooner!

Pantoprazole (40mg) for heartburn

I used this medicine for 2 months. I felt steadily more and more miserable but it didn't occur to me that it was because of this medicine. I had trembling legs, terrible feeling of being hounded, serious panic attacks and very depressive thoughts. The doctor wanted me to admit myself to a emergency department. Then I stopped taking these pills and within a week all of these problems went away. ...

Pantoprazole (40mg) for congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH)

since 2010 I've been taking 40 mg pantoprazol twice a day because I've got a congenital diaphragmatic hernia. the medicines have always helped me but last time, I was given pantoprazol in a little pot (usually in blister packs) since then I've been suffering with heartburn! this is probably because every time I open the pot oxygen gets into it and so reduces its effectiveness. tomorrow I am goi...

Pantoprazole (40mg) for gastric protector

40 mg for years no problems, 2 mths ago 80 mg because of severe stomach pains I seem to have ruptured something inside, 2 wks back on 40 mg. Very dizzy, had to be collected from work! Bad headaches, tingling, tired. This was all just after I started on the 80 mg. I've just read in the patient information leaflet that if you use more than 20 mg for 3 months you will have a magnesium deficiency w...

Pantoprazole (40mg) for heart attack

I have previously used pantoprazole 40 mg from Teva. Worked brilliantly and I had no side-effects. The only negative point is that you have to have the tablet one hour before you eat. But she soon get used to it

Pantoprazole (40mg) for heart attack

After my pharmacist gave me Pensa's pantoprazole 40 mg (a cheaper tablet), previously I had had pantoprazole 40 mg from Teva (from which I had no side-effects), I had lots of side-effects. The worst one for me is constant tiredness, my total loss of taste, dry mouth and regular headaches. I wonder how much more of this I have to take. It's only been one week.

Pantoprazole (20mg) for gastric protector

I had no side effects when I was taking omeprazole. Definitely get side effects with pantoprazol. I don't know if it's to do with the medicine, but I was getting really tired. I wouldn't advise anyone to take this.

Pantoprazole (20mg) for abdominal pain

This was prescribed to me today by the GP because I was experiencing unbelievable attacks of pain after eating and eating too much. (Like a whole pizza in a restaurant, shawarma, McDonald's). Because my gallbladder isn't performing as it's supposed to (GP suspects gallstones), I first got this two weeks ago. I'm curious.

Pantoprazole (20mg) for congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH)

Here are a couple of important tips that have helped me after just two weeks: make sure you're sitting upright before, during and after eating, (so don't eat on a sofa!); have small snacks 6x a day instead of three large meals a day; make sure you move after you've eaten, even if it's only wandering through the house for five minutes. Also have a look at: erasmusmc.nl/chirurgie/AbdominaleChirur...

Pantoprazole (40mg) for chronic kidney disease

I read on 13th January 2016 in the NRC that the proton pump inhibitors group has a 20 to 50% higher chance of developing chronic kidney disease. It is known that this renal damage doesn't occur with older heartburn preventatives, the so-called H2 antagonists.
