I've had migraines since I was 14 and I've tried most of the triptanes. Maxalt works every time without a single exception. Side effects that are easy to handle, for me, are the extreme sleepiness, difficulty swallowing and having to go to the loo a lot. When I had my first migraine attack, the GP gave me a prescription for Maxalt. This medicine always works perfect; within half an hour all headache is gone. The last few years however they gave me cheaper brand which were hardly effective. Now I'm back on Maxalt again because of medical reasons and again it only takes 30 minutes to get my worst attack under control.

When I feel a migraine starting I quickly take one of these orodispersible tablets. I can feel a light pressure in my head, but no headache and it's definitely not so bad as without the Maxalt. As well as mazalt, I take paractamol (1000 mg) and domperidon (10 mg). I sleep for about an hour and then afterwards I can pretty much do everything.
