I started taking Zopiclone to relieve insomnia as an alternative to benzos (which had left me feeling groggy, numb and unable to think or focus). I took half a tablet most nights, and generally enjoyed good nights' sleep, and woke feeling refreshed and rested (again, unlike benzos).
As an additional benefit, it eliminated my anxiety. I stopped taking Zopiclone after 18 months, with NO withd...

I would like to share my experience with zopiclone. It has really helped me in two episodes of general anxiety. I took one pill before bed for almost 6 months. When i felt more at ease, i started to tapper off slowly during two months, till the point where i reached a quarter of the pill. Then i knew it was already placebo. I started to sleep well on my own again. Thank God. No withdrawl effect...

Works well to get you asleep, bitter taste in morning for a while but goes away after a while, I have been on Zopiclone a lot longer than I intended but it is very good for sleep... until you develop a tolerance 2 - 4 weeks after daily use. Then your back to square 1. 9/10

Leaves a really bad and bitter after taste in the morning that just won't go away. After a while, my tongue started to discolor and became white and swollen. Tastebuds are red and really sensitive and I don't enjoy food the way I used to. I did help me fall asleep in the beginning but after a while, the body gets used to it and you need a higher dosage. Now, after a year and a half, it doesn't ...

Great to put you and keep you asleep. Can still wake up for a pee in middle of night, lye back down and you're gone until you wake in the morning. I rate it best sleep tablet I have ever had, except temazepam

I have taken Zopiclone every now and then for my chronic insomnia. It is very effective in getting me to sleep but it doesn't keep me asleep. On Zopiclone I sleep for around 4 to 5 hours and then wake up but I usually can get back to sleep.
After about 20 mins of taking Zopiclone I begin to feel it's effects, when I stand up I feel my limbs getting heavy and sort of a drunk feeling but it's...

I went through a stage of strong depression and believe this medication saved my life! One night I couldn't cope with my feelings and was in a hysterical state. I took a tablet and automatically started calming down and got sleepy- I finally had a good nights sleep since then. I might have woke up once or twice in the night but was still sleepy so managed to get back to sleep. On the bad night ...

I've been taking zopiclone since 2010 for my insomnia that was caused by anxiety and depression. At first I was on 7.5mg a day and it worked really well than it wasn't working as well so my doctor switched me to quetiapine as an alternative. I was on 75mg of that and it worked well but it is also an antipsychotic so I wasnt on it long. When I went back to zopiclone I was given 7.5mg x2 a night....

Because I take aripiprazol for psychosis I have sleepless nights. Then I was given zopiclone and I started taking them at 7.5 mg. The zopiclone has made me lose about 0.5-1 kg a day. I started off overweight at 79 kg then when I had to stop taking the zopiclone, I was 59 kg, so much weight in such a short space of time (21 days). I was being really healthy. The GP had no explanation. Since I've...

I've used zopiclone for a long time for chronic insomnia because of a delayed sleep phase syndrome. To start off with it was excellent, but the sleep problems are chronic and I don't want to have to take these every day because they are addictive and your tolerance increases. All of a sudden I noticed that I had started taking them earlier than necessary and that my memory was failing me. I swi...

My 2 experiences of zopiclone are very different. Afterwards, and completely by chance, I found out that an acquaintance of mine had been 'given' zopiclone at about the same time as me, and in a similar dose. They had the same the same experience as me: the day after felt really hounded, severe stomach and bowel problems, and headache. For me, this was a drastic increase: every evening I'd been...

After a lung infection, I started taking a quarter of a tablet. 4 years later I now take 2 tablets a night and unfortunately...I'm hardly sleeping at all. Even with 2 tablets at the same time I am wide awake and bushy-tailed! I don't sleep at all during the day. They taste really bitter, when you just have half a tablet. Having a sweet with it helps a bit. On top of that is the dry mouth but th...

After a very long difficult period I had to concede I needed some sleeping tablets and I'm now trying zopiclone. No sleep after one hour and real panic because of the bitter, foul tast!!!!! Really terrible because nothing helped for it. Tomorrow I'm taking them back and I'm going to ask for my lorazepam back or zolpidem tartrate because you get these if you don't have panic attacks! Pah what a...

Because of my depression I had lots of sleep problems, the psychiatrist prescribed me zopiclone. Combined with olanzapine I sleep fantastically well on it! Without waking I can sometimes go 10 hours whereas before it was just 4 or 5 hours. I do have a bitter taste in my mouth but because I take this all the time, I am pretty used to it now.

In my head, I've always associated anxiety with social nerves and inactivity. Zopiclone is, for me, a miracle cure because, after just 15 minutes, I genuinely feel calmer and I'm no longer scared of meeting my neighbours, etc. With the zopis I've also got back my desire to go outside. I take them in the morning once I'm awake for depression, 1 at 12 noon so I can go outside and in the evening s...

I had really bad side effects with Rohypnol, so I've been taking Zopiclone for years for my insomnia. I fall asleep without any issues, wake up fresh and alert the following day and I've never had any issues with side effects.

My whole life I have slept little and lightly so now and then I take a Zopiclone to recharge my batteries whilst sleeping. I never take more than a quarter or a half. I go to bed earlier and I always get up early. Sometimes it works better than others but that might be down to other things such as watching too much tv, messing on the computer or having stressful conversations or activities in t...

I've slept badly for years, I find it really hard to get to sleep and that's why I take half a zopiclone every evening. Then I sleep really well, for about 7 to 8 straight hours. That half a zopiclone means I can function well at work and in my daily life. Without zopiclone during the day I am dead tired and after a couple of sleepless nights I need to go off sick or I start getting migraine at...

I have to stay inside because you are only allowed to take zopiclone for 2 weeks according to the information leaflet and I am still finding it hard to get to sleep. I'm not supposed to take it any more but now and then I smuggle some when I have an appointment with the doctor. This is for everyone because they need their zopiclone.

I don't take zopiclone any more, it does nothing me. Since my knee was replaced I can hardly sleep at all at night, like two hours of sleep then awake for two hours then another hours sleep (doze) then awake again, it goes like that from 10:30 to 7:30 but, well, I can't do anything else about it.
