flucloxacillin sodium (500MG) for Ear piercing infection

This medication is brutal and the effects of this makes the illness you originally had feel like nothing. The heartburn I experienced taking this was the worst burning I've ever felt it woke me up at night and I couldn't drink or eat without an unbearable burning sensation in my throat and chest. Along with that feeling of sickness dizziness and out of breath these seem to be quite common on lo...

flucloxacillin sodium (500MG) for Impetigo

Prescribed for impetigo above brow. First day I called 111 as I was a little concerned my lips looked weird: went really white and swollen in bumps. Had no other allergy symptoms so was advised to continue. Correct, lips feel better, still dry but no longer swollen. Anxiety has started to get a hold of me as of day 2 and today I am suffocating. Really panicky, anxious and depressed. I am going ...

flucloxacillin sodium (500MG) for Otitis media (ear infection)

I am taking this for an ear infection, which an ear spray did not shift after a couple of days. The capsules taste burnt, but otherwise taking them is fine. I experienced some intestinal gas, but not that much. The major side effect on the second day is acute anxiety. I take an SNRI for depression, but I have not had any anxiety symptoms recently until now.

Its awful. Gave me bad gerd. I take them and if I fall asleep I wake up with burning burps and it's hard to breath it burns so much. What is this medication? I thought I was going to die. I have severe anxiety so waking up feeling my chest throat and lungs on fire was terrifying. So I warn you. Don't take then fall asleep, unless you'd like to experiment that is. It's really bad and your burps...

flucloxacillin sodium (500MG) for Bacterial infection

I injured my toe, there was swelling and it wasn't healing properly. The nail had to be removed in pieces. The flucloxacillin is made by Milpharm, not listed above. Gives me such high levels of anxiety I thought I was about to die. It is not true, that antibiotics do not cause panic attacks, every time I take these, I get panic attacks and feel like I am dying. The effect lasts for abou...

flucloxacillin sodium (500mg) for infection (wound)

The capsules don't taste great, and I am a grazer so hard to fit in around food as you have to take on an empty stomach four times a day. I got really bad indigestion while taking the tablets.

flucloxacillin sodium (500mg) for infection (mouth)

I was prescribed this medicine by my GP because she'd opened a sebaceous gland in the corner of my mouth and it could get infected. The problem with this medicine is that you need to wait until you can eat and this was really difficult to plan, and I also developed mild diarrhoea during the course of tablets and a vaginal yeast infection afterwards. No other side effects though and I didn't get...

flucloxacillin sodium (500mg) for infection (wound)

I started using this medicine over a week ago for a serious infection to a abdominal wound. There were very few side effects, just some tiredness and loss of appetite. So far it hasn't been very effective, the infection is actually worse. I'll visit the doctor tomorrow, this might not be the correct antibiotic.

flucloxacillin sodium (500mg) for bacterial infection

I had a bacterial skin infection close to my ear. A cure for 10 days was prescribed, 1 capsule 4 times a day. After 3 days the skin infection was gone but I still had to complete the cure which was very hard. It meant food planning and taking meds for a week more even though the problems were already over. I had some side effects such as diarrhea and rash (bumps and itch). Today is the first da...

flucloxacillin sodium (500mg) for bacterial infection

Started taking these on Monday because I had an infected cuticle. I'm now on day 3. As of yesterday I was struggling with headaches, diarrhoea and stomach ache from this morning. Just called the GP and I need to take omeprazole with it. Hopefully this will help. Cuticle seems to be a bit calmer and it's not oozing pus any more.

flucloxacillin sodium (500mg) for erysipelas

Take these capsules 4 times a day for 10 days and this is the second time because of 2 bouts of erysipelas in a short period. Have absolutely so problems with any side effects as many others have reported. Occasionally a little bit nauseous but it goes as soon as it comes. These antibiotics work really well and really quickly.

flucloxacillin sodium (500mg) for erysipelas

Was actually really happy with the progress of my recovery with the help of flucloxacillin. With regards to taking it: a little tricky and a puzzle when it comes to mealtimes. What I have found is that I have very painful calves. Can only manage to walk 20 steps then I have to stop until the pain goes away. Before my erysipelas that wasn't the case. I played tennis 3 × a week but I can't anymor...

flucloxacillin sodium (500mg) for otitis

Had an ear infection for 2 weeks, the first course did nothing. Now I have Flucloxacilline 500 mg. I have been taking for for precisely 3 days and have a lot of pain with stomach and bowels cramps, all day long. It takes a while to get used to taking it but works okay. Hopefully I'll start to feel better tomorrow as it usually takes 3 days.
