I started taking Warfarin and took it for 12 months. Then I switched to Xarelto and took it for about 10 months. This summer as temperature hot more hot I started having major rashes kind of like Jock Itch. I felt like a dog scratching non stop. I thought it was my water filter, the detergent, my underwear, you name it. I purchased medication, changed my clothing. The Xarelto was causing ...

I was given this medicine in 2012 when it was new to the market. My specialist was keen to keep my heart rate within a specified range after 6 bypasses and open heart surgery. Seems to be working. Only when exercising (rehabilitation) does my heart rate go over what it's supposed to be, which means less oxygen gets to my muscles so I fatigue earlier and over heat. So be careful when exercising!

Been taking xarelto 20 mg for about 6 months. No problems with side effects in the first month, until all of my joints in my body became inflamed. Had some blood tests and it seemed that my blood values (ast and alt) in my liver weren't right. Had an echo and liver biopsy and it transpired that xarelto had affected my liver. Quickly switched to another medicine, but need to have extrad blood te...

When I was on holiday in America I was admitted to hospital because of cardiac arrhythmia. After 4 days of investigations I was given children's aspirin and Metoprolol. In Holland, this medicine was replaced with Tambocor. Now Xarelto. I'm a natural person and honestly don't really want to be putting all these chemicals into my body...

GP and respiratory consultant: you should switch to: Xarelto; no more injections! no more control!: Effective: both doctors said that it works really well...well; then I guess I'll trust them! Start date programmed into my telephone + reminder: PERFECT! No nagging! But there are also risks: I am assuming that they do their job. The question that bothers me is what will it do to me in the long t...

Because of a massive pulmonary embolism in 2015, I ended up on acenocumarol for 6 months, after which I stopped on the advice of a specialist. In September 2016 I was diagnosed with another massive pulmonary embolism and put on Xarelto. what a relief that you don't have to do a blood test every time you visit the thrombosis clinic to check the INR values. Few if any side effects, just the cold ...

I have hallucinations, especially at night. Images appear, sometimes very strong, sometimes scary. For that reason I am not satisfied with this medication. At the moment I’ve started taking 1 tablet every other day for I suspect the dosage, one tablet a day, was too high. I am very curious to see if this results in a moderate reaction. Beside the hallucinations I have no other side effects.

I was given this drug to prevent thrombosis after it was discovered that I had DVT. I am assuming that this medicine has worked, but I have no idea (but also no side effects).

I'm 72 and live in Ostend in Belgium, use Xarelto in place of Asaflow, I have absolutely no side effects. I pay 9.70 euros for 98 x 20 mg pills I have seen that Xarelto is much more expensive in Holland All the best Roger

After a deep vein thrombosis and a few pulmonary embolisms in the first instance went on to acenocoumarol. INR values were still fluctuating and going to the thrombosis clinic every couple of weeks is just not practical when you're 20, so eventually switched to xarelto. Never had any problems with it. Experienced no side effects, taking it is easy and there are no extra checks.

Been on blood thinners for one and a half years because of deep vein thrombosis. Had an operation and had 20 cm of stents put in from my belly button down. Excellent medicine. Don't need thrombosis service and can have alcohol! Absolutely no problem with any side-effects. What's totally crazy is that you can no longer control whether or not you're protected, so that's something you need to take...

No effect on chest fibrillations. And the side-effects are awful so I am considering switching back to my old medicine.

Massive bilateral pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis in both legs. I'm really not tolerating this medicine very well but I'm absolutely not allowed to stop or switch to another medicine.

I've been taking this medicine in advance of a planned ablation in about 3 or 4 weeks. I'm now on my 3rd day of taking this and I am suffering with cold hands and feet, nagging pain in my legs, tinnitus and a heavy feeling in my head. In the past I have been treated for thrombosis and I think this is better and only for a short while, so I'll cope with the unpleasantness for now.
