This drug was unsuccessful. I got suicidal thoughts from both Concerta and methylphenidate, I felt like a zombie, I was really anxious and everything irritated me. It was like what was going on in my head was just getting worse. I have used this drug once before and back then it did help me. Now I'm an adult. Perhaps it has a different effect now.

After having taken Ritalin for years, I switched to concerta. I decided to try this medicine for my ADHD and ADD, to see if was something that might work for me. One of the side effects is the bad effect it has on your mood; that's the effect it had on me. I took it for about a week and I have never felt so depressed before. I am a bit depressive anyway so I guess that might have something to do with it.

I can only say this medicine is not a solution for me. Gives me a lot of sweating, unrest, insomnia, palpitations and makes me very uncomfortable in social settings.

After years of just getting by with antidepressants which btw I still use, I started taking Ritalin in October 2016. Within the space of less than a week I was needing to take one every 2 hours but it was making me really unsettled and overwrought. I've now been on concerta 54 mg for one month. I only need 1 capsule per day. But I feel good, I'm finally myself again, and not so numb all the time.
