Concerta

methylphenidate hydrochloride (54mg) for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

This drug was unsuccessful. I got suicidal thoughts from both Concerta and methylphenidate, I felt like a zombie, I was really anxious and everything irritated me. It was like what was going on in my head was just getting worse. I have used this drug once before and back then it did help me. Now I'm an adult. Perhaps it has a different effect now.

Ritalin

30/07/2017 | | 38moderated by Susan
methylphenidate hydrochloride (10mg) for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

Ritalin really seemed to only work for me for a short time before I started getting the rebounds. That's why I went on the internet at work every morning at around 10am, because I couldn't concentrate. I also had virtually no appetite. Switching to concerta has meant that I am now better able to function.

Concerta

methylphenidate hydrochloride (36mg) for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

After having taken Ritalin for years, I switched to concerta. Ritalin seemed to not work for long enough for me before I started rebounding Concerta means I am now interested in my work and my concentration level has increased and I am better at finishing chores around the house. I only need to take concerta on work days. I quite consciously don't take it at the weekend. I can't sleep for 16 ho...

Concerta

methylphenidate hydrochloride (18mg) for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

I decided to try this medicine for my ADHD and ADD, to see if was something that might work for me. One of the side effects is the bad effect it has on your mood; that's the effect it had on me. I took it for about a week and I have never felt so depressed before. I am a bit depressive anyway so I guess that might have something to do with it.

Ritalin

13/07/2017 | | 29moderated by Henry
methylphenidate hydrochloride (5mg) for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

Ritalin worked really well for me for 15 years. More recently though it stopped calming me down as much as I had been used to. So I had to switch over to Straterra. Straterra feels stronger and on Ritalin I still felt like me but Straterra works better to maintain the calmness in my head. I used Ritalin on a really low dose. Sometimes only 2.5 mg at a time. With more I quickly noticed the side ...

Strattera

13/07/2017 | | 29moderated by Susan
atomoxetine hydrochloride (80mg) for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

My experience with this is, overall, really quite positive. In the first month a few noticeable psychological side effects, but that was to be expected. These side effects were anxiety and being extra sensitive and emotional (crying). Every time my dose increased, the side effects came back. I was on Ritalin for 15 years and Straterra keeps my head calmer. I am less impulsive and, according to ...

atomoxetine hydrochloride (60) for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

I'm a 17 year old boy and for 6 years I've been taking Strattera and I've got acne. I am now seeing a dermatologist but that's a temporary solution to deal with this horrid side effect. Has any one else suffered from this? Please let me know!

Ritalin

15/05/2017 | | 43moderated by Charlotte
methylphenidate hydrochloride (10mg) for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

For the pressure in my head and my impulsive behaviour, talking a lot, but often difficult to get to the core of the matter, easily distracted. The horrid feeling that I am supposed to be doing something. Almost paranoid. Had loads of therapies, lots of anxiety, sometimes for nothing. Feel worthless, on my last visit to the addiction clinic I was too often disappointed. I am pretty convinced by...

Concerta

14/05/2017 | | 54moderated by Susan
methylphenidate hydrochloride (54mg) for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

After years of just getting by with antidepressants which btw I still use, I started taking Ritalin in October 2016. Within the space of less than a week I was needing to take one every 2 hours but it was making me really unsettled and overwrought. I've now been on concerta 54 mg for one month. I only need 1 capsule per day. But I feel good, I'm finally myself again, and not so numb all the time.

Medikinet

27/08/2016 | | 24moderated by Philip
methylphenidate hydrochloride (10mg) for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

As far as effect goes no comment great I feel like a Duracell battery but in a calmer, more pleasant way. Not crazy just concentrated. I do suffer from frequent depressive episodes and I will just randomly want to start crying for no apparent reason which is awkward at the best of times.
