I was prescribed this medication during an extremely traumatic period in my life. I had increased nightmares, disturbed dreaming, migraines, nausea, headaches, restless leg syndrome, anxiety, jitters, heartburn and sore neck, back and aching muscles and finally exhaustion. I lasted 13 days until people started saying how tired I looked. I then read the side effects and immediately stopped. ...

My psychiatrist/therapist prescribed Seroxat 20mg for anxiety and depression. Been taking it for 2 years. Once tried to quit, got to 5mgs and started feeling the anxiety again. Came back to 20mgs/a day. It works perfectly for anxiety, not so good for depression. Honestly, I'm afraid of going off them, because I feel like the anxiety will come back. Also don't want to take them forever because o...

I was utterly against taking any pills for the anxiety and PTSD that I’m suffering from. I actually put up with nearly a decade of deep despair and found it almost impossible to go out on my own. It was extremely hellish and I often thought of suicide. I was doing psychotherapy three times a week. In a strange way that was often making it worse. I started with 25 mg of sertraline and after a ...

I tried coming off fluanxol under control of my GP and it was total hell I can sympathise with drug addicts coming off drugs. I didn’t manage to come off it - I tried twice. Must be around 30 years I have been on it. I got diabetes and my pharmacist said everyone who takes it does. Of course the manufacturers Lundbeck deny this.

Dear everyone, yesterday, with my evening meal, I took my first Xanax Retard 0.5 mg tablet. Is it normal that I am so tired on such a low dose? Or does my body need time to get used to it? Normally I'd be supposed to take another tablet again this morning, but I'm waiting until this evening. Is this tiredness a passing thing? Thanks, An

Last year I really struggled with anxiety and depression. This medicine helped me to cope with the worst of it. It started to work after half an hour and it help me to relativise everything around me. This drug probably should have helped, but it's not an easy one to stop using ... Just found out that from 10 mg and lower, it's especially hard to come off it. This medicine is pure hell when you want to come off it. Everyone knows the withdrawal symptoms already: stomach and bowels all over the place, really nauseous, easily irritated, noise and light heightened x10, lifeless, dead almost. I ...

Five years ago I started taking this medicine. I had an anxiety disorder and this medicine calmed me down a bit. Now, five years later, I am still taking it. It still affects my daily life. I can't really exercise, I keep putting weight on, I'm often tired and I've always got little niggles: nausea, headache, stomach ache, pain in my body. I'd really like to stop the Propanolol. I did try to do...

Felt truly awful and oftern thought about stopping but I persevered. After 3 months my body seemed to get used to it, result after 4 months. Now it seems to be working fine. But it's not the easy option, as far as I'm conc...

This medicine works fine, I use halve a tablet per night. Side effects are amnesia and loss of focus. I'm afraid to increase frequency or dosage for fear of insomnia, an old disorder.
