Etonogestrel (68mg) for contraception / birth control
The first two years were perfect! I had no problems at all, after two years the acne came along with regular brown discharge and very frequent periods. It is a relief that i dont have to take these pills anymore.

I have been taking Implanon for a few months now. Having the implant inserted is fairly painless. It was in withing two minutes and i haven't felt any kind of side effects yet. One of the advantages is that i no longer get my period.

I chose to have implanon because it's supposed to be very user-friendly. You can't forget it and it's an excellent contraceptive. It certainly did the job. I hardly had any periods, that was great. But I'm noticing more and more problems. Depression, dry vagina, reduced libido, now and then extended periods of spotting. Probably also dry skin and eczema (but that will go over time).
