I was once given this for severe stress and insomnia, been taking it for so long (50 mg as 1 x 10 mg and 2 x 20 mg for 30 years) that I can't not take it any more (been off it twice for long periods of time and they were pure hell). I just decided for myself that I need to keep taking it, after all it does more good than harm and I can sleep..... But think long and hard before you start taking ...

I need this because I stopped drinking on 08/08/2015 and had really bad back pain and this helps me cope with it and I am also sleeping better too.

I've been using Diazepam since October to help keep me calm and to cope with panic attacks. The experience that I have with this medicine is positive. In the first few weeks I was a bit drowsy but not any more. Mostly in the first weeks I was really tired but when I started taking the medication in the evening, I was asleep within half an hour. As for the rest, no other side effects.

I only use it when the pain is killing me, 1 to 5 times a month. It relaxes the muscles, which allows me to sleep fairly well. No side effect, except 1: the next day I need an hour to really clear my head.

I've been taking Diazepam for about 14 years now for anxiety and nervousness. Given that I now want to stop taking it, 3 weeks ago I went down to half a tablet, i.e. 5 mg. Now, after 3 weeks, it feels like I'm walking though mud and I feel sick, can't hardly push the pedals on my bike around. I'm not sure if this is why but I think I might be trying to come off them too quickly. I think I'll go...

Easily manageable works a bit longer, sleep very well on it, more calm during the day, for example on long-haul flights etc. Recommend it for now and then, up to two times a week. Take zolpidam once a week on a Sunday to get me ready for the new week.

Ended up under the Dutch occupational disability act this year and all of a sudden was landed with a 5 grand debt and a gas bill of 1075, gas leak in my house, the gas pipe behind the cooker was leaky. And I am in debt to the bank. Going into statutory debt repayment, leads to so much stress. Already on 30 mg cipramil (depression and PDD-NOS). Down to the food bank. I worked for 28 years!

Made me feel very sleepy, listless and lacking muscle power. I turned dispassionate and it felt as if I had lead in my legs. I just wanted to sleep and had a very dry mouth.

The doctor and I want to stop lorezepam. But this medicine has made it worse. I didn't know what to do. I didn't have any confidence in it. Switched back to my old medicine. But maybe 20 mg at once was too much for me before going to bed. I didn't sleep.

I take this mostly because I find it difficult to get to sleep and then to stay asleep. I think diazepam is fine sometimes it makes me a bit drowsy during the day and a bit slow on the uptake. But now I sleep right through and fall asleep faster. It also makes me really calm and takes away my stress and anxiety

I was addicted to heroin in the 80 detoxed but never found peace until I could buy one strip, a sea of calm when I took three. That's how it happens! So if you take one about every 3 to 6 months, try to cut down as gently as possible! if you force it you get a rebound and you swallow 2x as much.

I take 10 mg diazepam before I go to sleep. I can sleep on 5 but it's restless with a lot of nightmares. With 10 it's like everything is fine, which is great considering that I have had insomnia for so long and this is a kind of last-resort medicine. I use it as little as possible but sometimes up to 3 or 4 times a week. I have absolutely no side effects and I don't feel drowsy during the day.
