Repatha lowers my cholesterol but causes abdominal cramps and diarrhea on the 8th and 9th day after the shot. This happens like clockwork. The runny nose, and sore throat are tolerable, but the cramps and diarrhea are not. May need to stop taking it.

I've been taking this medicine since I had a heart attack in 2010. It seems to be working according to the cardiologist. And nothing else to say on the matter.

First tried 40 mg simvastatin but I had loads of side effects with that like muscle pain. Then I switched to atorvastatin and to start off with (for 9 months) that seemed to work. But what's odd is that I am now getting side effects again, like muscle pain, fatigue, poor sleep, condition getting worse, joint pain (especially hip, neck, and back).

Over a period of half a year tried various different statins, but they all had the same effect; bad joint pain and bad muscle pain. Joint pain was so bad it was like I had gout.

I started on 20mg and the experience was reasonable. Mild tiredness in my muscles. On 40mg the muscle pains got a lot worse, so much so that I couldn't exercise any more because my muscles couldn't manage. Until then I was usually exercising twice a week. A big disappointment and I got the impression that no one was actually listening to what I was saying.

Even in small doses simvastatin is poisonous for me! Started on 40 mg on the doctor's advice. After a few weeks: muscle pain in strange places: feet, shoulders, mostly neck pain. By the evenings I couldn't turn or raise my head, paired with bad pain. So I stopped this medicine. Bought 10 mg simvastatin later when I was abroad and tried that out. 10 mg is 'only 25% of 40mg so I shouldn't have an...

Previously I used statins (piece or 6 different) with all the problems: Balance disorder, fatigue, joint pain, negativity. With Repatha very good results (cholesterol). I have hardly any side effects and it is good to use!

Statins gave me many side effects. Then I used red yeast rice in combination with Q10 and that gave a good result. I had no side effects and my cholesterol went 2 points down. Now I use Repatha 4 weeks. First it went fine, but then came the muscle cramps. Again with Q10 started and then I had less cramping. But now after 4 weeks I have almost every night heavy muscle cramps in calves and upper ...

Given simvastatin first of all but it gave me stomach pains and made me really nauseous as well as lightheaded and muscle pains in my arms and lower back. The pravastatin makes me really nauseous and lightheaded and gives me a bit of bother with my lower back.

I've been taking statins since my 20s for really high cholesterol, above 10. I'm not overweight, run 3 x a week and walk a lot. I first started on Zocor and I'm now on Crestor. Unfortunately I've now got the same side effects as when I took simvastatin. Really suffering with muscle pain. My wrists especially, and it's getting worse. And the muscles in my behind and thighs are really painful, mo...

Switched from crestor to simvastatin because of the cost. Was on it for 4 months but I stopped two weeks ago to see if the side effects disappeared: Pain in my upper thighs, difficulty walking, legs feel weak. So, yep, on to the next medicine!

Because I felt like I was having really bad side effects with sim/atorvastatin, I was moved on to Crestor (rosuvastatin) by my cardiologist. I started on 20/4. On holiday I was up to 24/4 when I developed severe muscle pain but I couldn't reach my doctor. I carried on taking them regardless and didn't have any further problems. Perhaps the side effects were due to the fact that the atorvastatin...

Use this because of a heart attached and a little too high a cholesterol. No problems at the start. But very slowly, more and more side effects. Above all, pain in my feet and numbness in my feet. It seems I have polyneuropathy. This is a side effect. Says NB in the patient information leaflet but it's not very clear. Doctor didn't agree with the seriousness of it. Polyneuropathy is permanent. ...
