Experiences with Doxycycline

I started using Doxycycline for 3 months for acne on my face, chest and back in February. The acne was very annoying and I always had to wear closed shirts. The first few days I took the medicine without food, but it quickly changed to eating with food because I vomited. If I ate something first, it went much better and I actually had little trouble. Got this medicine because of an ongoing cough. The thorax image was great but I couldn't shake the cough. So then I tried these pills. I had already had them quite often before for bronchitis. prescribed this to prevent Lyme's disease after being bitten by a tick, three-week course of doxycycline, wet, red, itchy eczema on my arms and eyes. After a definitive improvement the eczema came back. Very dissatisfied with this medicine.

Folliculitis looks like acne on your scalp, but it's usually caused in older people by a bacterium. I used this medicine for one month in place of Minocycline, which is also moderately effective but for me perhaps slightly more effective. Unfortunately I've had this for 8 years now and it shows no sign of disappearing...!

I had a tick infected with the Borrelia bacterium, 5 days after the tick was removed I started on doxycycline 100 mg 2 times a day. I had no side effects from the doxycycline. Whilst I was taking it I drank a lot of water and green tea.
