Experiences with Ciprofloxacin

After a visit in the ER the first prescription of antibiotics didn't work. My PD prescribed me Ciprofloxacine. What a wonderful medication, after three days the worst complaints were gone.

2 week course for uti with fever. Symptom-free after 1 day. No noticeable side effects. Possibly a bit more sensitive but definitely no pain.

Have this medicine for pyelonephritis. After 3 days it is starting to have effect, the pain is less but I do have headaches and feel very tired. After 2 days a stomach protector was added, the Ciprofloxacine 500 gave me a lot of stomach problems.

4th course each different 4 bladder infections in 6 weeks nothing helps. first day really dizzy, second day unbearable pain in my stomach overnight, only been out of hospital for two weeks had diverticulitis. pain in lower stomach now stopped.

Lots of pain in my leg, feels like muscle pain and stomach pain. In the evenings, bloated stomach. I don't this is a very good antibiotic. Was supposed to take it for 7 days but stopped after 5. Tomorrow going back to the GP.

After a urine test, my GP prescribed this medicine. The test showed that the infection was caused by e. coli. This medicine is supposed to attack these bacteria but it seems like the infection is hardly affected at all. After a 2 week course, the symptoms had reduced. I developed bladder infection abroad. I could almost not pee. I was prescribed this medicine for seven days. Since day one no appetite, nauseous, listless, can't sleep, dizzy, fever, headache. After five days, which was two days ago, I stopped but I still have the problems.

I got these antibiotics for a bacterial infection. The course is 2 x 7 days but I stopped after the first week. Constant, splitting headaches, reduced appetite, palpitations. Felt really unwell with thee antibiotics. I haven't taken anything else. But one thing is sure. I'm never taking these again.

As a replacement for Furabid I was given these antibiotics. The fever has gone. I am very tired, miserable and dizzy. I think that the infection has gone in the meantime.

On Tuesday it hurt a bit when I went to the toilet but by Thursday it was making me scream and clear I had a serious urinary infection. Had a fever from this awful medicine. It got rid of the pain I felt going to the toilet but my stomach was twice as big as usual and also hurting. I didn't sleep for two nights, I was really tired, had a really bad headache, pain in the side of my back and legs...
