mesalazine (2g) for ulcerative colitis
I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in June 2017. So I had to start taking pentasa. From day one it made me feel worse and by the end of the first week I ended up in hospital. I had a booster course of prednisone which fixed my intestine wall straight away, no more blood. But I still had to undergo investigations by a specialist to see if I could go back on pentasa. mesalazine (2g) for ulcerative colitis
In March 2017 I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. I started straight away on a 6 week course of Prednisolone, as well as 4 mg of Pentasa granules in the morning and a Pentasa suppository in the evening. mesalazine (2g) for ulcerative colitis
Pentasa worked pretty well for a good year and a half, no symptoms, no side effects. Stopped working after this so switched to Medrol in combination with Imuran.
