You need to be patient while you're waiting for this to work, in my case around 4 weeks. There's now a bit of space between my thoughts and my physical reaction(s). Incredible to once again have control over my own thoughts. My anxiety has been pretty much deadened and I don't have any more panic attacks. I was prescribed fluoxetine for depression. Under extra checks because of the suicidal side effect. Did have some dark thoughts but soon got better. Later started getting low again so increased to 40 mg. One month later made a suicide attempt. I am lucky to be able to write here now but I had completely no fears and was completely empty. So just be careful if you're sensitive and given fluoxetine.

I have recently (February) started taking fluoxetine again. I had depression and cried a lot, anxiety and social anxiety. The first few months were difficult but it's slowly getting better for me. I feel calmer in my head and I can enjoy the little things in life again. For me, this medicine really has a positive effect.
