finasteride (5mg) for benign prostatic hyperplasia
I have been using tamsulosin for years but it seems to be getting less and less effective. So now I have a prescription for finasteride. After 14 days, the itchiness started. After discussing it with the GP I kept using it for six weeks because otherwise the effect would not be quantifiable. The effect was terrible itchiness and that's why I stopped again. I need to reassess with the GP.
