NiQuitin

nicotine resinate (7MG/24UUR) for Stop smoking

Very poor quality compared with a rival brand. Does not stick to skin as it should. It is meant to do two things: stick to skin, release nicotine. It fails at one of those, and I'm not sure it succeeds at the other. A rival brand is infinitely better.

varenicline tartrate (1MG) for Stop smoking

After 30 years of smoking about 15 a day, I have finally Quit using Champix! On day 31 no smoking. I found after day 9 of taking Champix, I had no urge to smoke, so I didn't. I also got nausea but found taking it straight after eating fixed that. I would highly recommend Champix as a miracle cure for smokers.

nicotine resinate (21mg/24uur) for Stop smoking

I have used this plaster once before to stop, back then it took me 1 and a half years to stop! But unfortunately because of something that happened in my life, I started again but now we are taking up the challenge again. Except I forgot how bad the dreams can be when you start on the plasters. Normally you'll dream something and then forget it again but now I dream all night long. And the stra...

varenicline tartrate (1mg) for Stop smoking

For me this is a great drug! Works really well, stopped 3 weeks ago and have had little desire. Had a few acceptable side effects but they are nothing compared to withdrawal symptoms! Oh and after 2 weeks I halved the dose because it was going so well and it was making me so overtired with all the bad sleep. Went great.

varenicline tartrate (0,5+1mg) for Stop smoking

Hello, After years of smoking I had had enough, but what I was doing on my own just wasn't working. Then my husband said, c'mon we'll stop together. So we went to the GP together and we got champix, because my skin rejects the plasters. And I can say we have quit ;) And the joy of not smoking means there is no way I will fall back down that slippery road again.

varenicline tartrate (0,5+1mg) for Stop smoking

After 50 years of it, I wanted to stop smoking. Most recently I was smoking 3-4 mild packs a week. Just stopped with Champix, not a single problem. Haven't used Champix for 10 days now and I still have no desire to smoke!!

varenicline tartrate (0,5+1mg) for Stop smoking

After 60 (!!!) years of heavy smoking, about 1 pack of 25 a day, and loads of attempts to stop, all of a sudden there was Champix. Without any difficulty I was able to leave my last, unopened packet of cigarettes sitting on the side and after a few months, I even threw it away. I now haven't smoked for about 6 years, my lung capacity has more than doubled.

varenicline tartrate (0,5+1mg) for Stop smoking

After just 1 week unfortunately I had to stop taking Champix. Had definitely smoked less and decided on my 'stop day' it was all ready to go. But I had terrible toothache and I was really depressed (I didn't feel like myself any more) so I had to stop. Probably has something to do with the 2 antidepressants I've been taking for years and they had a bad effect. Despite this I'm not put off using...

varenicline tartrate (0,5mg) for Stop smoking

After being a 40-a-day smoker, just started taking Champix...I'm starting to think that I can't do this to stop smoking... Got through days 1, 2 and 3 ; started on 0.5 mg; little bit nauseous after taking it but bearable - carried on smoking normally, totally lost my sense of taste, and still smoking normally, Day 4 = in the morning I had to take 2 x 0.5 mg...not sure why...doubt that Champix w...

varenicline tartrate (1mg) for Stop smoking

There is no doubt that smoking is foul, but that also goes for anything that I eat or drink. In the first week and a half I had no appetite whatsoever. Despite not having any pleasure in it any more, I still smoked once or twice. But this is mostly because of the psychological addiction. You need to approach that somewhat differently. The medicine definitely has an effect on my mood. I am a bit...

You still smoke at the start. A nasty taste and nausea were my first side effects (when still smoking). The first 8 weeks I had very nice dreams, later this diminished.

varenicline tartrate (1mg) for Stop smoking

Stopped on 8 March… Now on day 25. Now and then certainly a few thoughts but they disappear quickly. When I started there were some really bad side-effects… Dizziness in my head but not as bad as the side effects of smoking itself. Each day I take 3× 0.5 mg instead of the prescribed 2×1 mg. This means that side effects are minimal and I am comfortably under the prescribed dose which means I sho...

varenicline tartrate (1mg) for Stop smoking

Since the first tablet I’ve been plagued by pimples. My whole face is covered. Very annoying but I definitely think it’s worth it! In the nearby future I’ll be rewarded with a clear, healthy and smoke free skin!

varenicline tartrate (1mg) for Stop smoking

Smoking stopped being enjoyable since using Champix. In the second week I quit smoking I did smoke one cigarette in a weak moment but extinguished it after two draws because it tasted so disgusting. It works super! I had no side effects such as dreams or feeling down, but it did stop my period during treatment. After the treatment ended I’ve had no need to smoke at all.

varenicline tartrate (0,5+1mg) for Stop smoking

I noticed it worked the first few days. The urge to smoke was gone and I made a deal with myself to stop smoking altogether as soon as I had to take the higher dosage. These made me really sick after every pill. Everything I ate 10 minutes after taking one caused me to throw up. 20 minutes after the nausea was gone, but I’d still feel off the rest of the day. (hung-over). Broken sleep. I stoppe...

varenicline tartrate (1mg) for Stop smoking

I quit smoking four days ago and with Champix I find it very easy. The thought is still there, but the urge is gone….I still have a full pack, but it takes no effort at all to let it be. Quite bizarre as I used to smoke at least 30 cigarettes a day!

Great support device. I still think about smoking but I don't feel the need to any more. When I started I even took a dislike to it. This time round the side effects are considerable. Sleeping badly, listlessness, fatigue, dejected. Going to halve it after speaking to the GP.

varenicline tartrate (1mg) for Stop smoking

With the help of my doctor and Champix I quit smoking nearly 2 months ago. I had expected it to be much harder, the only side effects were weird dreams (no nightmares)! I was a bit scared of side effects because you hear the strangest things. My advice is to just try it and see for yourself. The need to smoke disappeared very quickly. First you stop smoking and then the addiction disappears. I ...

varenicline tartrate (1mg) for Stop smoking

Prescribed this medicine for myself to stop smoking after nearly 40 years. Then I realised that I started smoking without the help of medication and I thought: You can surely stop without using medication, you just have to grit your teeth and get through it. 9 months on and it's still going well. But not without the help of the placebo effect.

nicotine resinate (14mg/24uur) for Stop smoking

The niquitin plasters work really well, except they don't stay in place. I haven't smoked for 6 weeks now but it's still quite difficult. I'm also not noticing any of the advantages of not smoking. I can't say that my food tastes better, that I can breathe better etc. More like the opposite. My blood pressure has increased considerably since I stopped. But I'm going to persevere - maybe all I n...
