Yesterday I went back on to thyrax duotab. I've spent the last year trying to get used to this new medicine. Felt like a year-long overexploitation of my physical body. Switched straight back to Thyrax as soon as I realised that it was back on the market. Back to my old strength dose.

My 5 year old daughter has put on an incredible amount of weight over the past year on her tummy, legs and face. When I heard that thyrax was back on the market, the penny dropped: this medicine was doing nothing for her. She was increased and increased with no improvement at all. I said straight out that I wanted to go back on thyrax but the endocrinologist had not yet put any one else back on...

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. The doctor started me on a low dose, 12.5 mg to be precise. I am always conscious of what I eat, exercise a lot, etc. but I didn't lose any weight, I actually gained it! So now I hope that this might help me. Anyone else experienced this? I had to switch due to a shortage of Thyrax. Pharmacist tried to give me Teva, which has a lot of side effects. I asked for Eltroxin. No side effects and it is very effective.
