My 5 year old daughter has put on an incredible amount of weight over the past year on her tummy, legs and face. When I heard that thyrax was back on the market, the penny dropped: this medicine was doing nothing for her. She was increased and increased with no improvement at all. I said straight out that I wanted to go back on thyrax but the endocrinologist had not yet put any one else back on it. Pharmacist confirmed, though, that a lot of patients had actually had difficulty with it. I hope my daughter can quickly get back into proportion and so move better. It's just sad to be so round. :(
