The most extreme kind of side effect: bleeding after a stomach ulcer that was located on an artery. I lost 4 l of blood and was in hospital for 3 days and operated on. I was bed-bound for 6 weeks and it was only after 5 months that my blood levels were on the up and I was starting to feel ok. And I am only 33 despite the fact that it says in the patient information leaflet that stomach ulcers as side effects only develop in older patients.
