My monthly migraines last around 2 days/evenings. Rizatriptan (and before that Maxalt) work well and I wake up headache-free. It narrows the blood vessels which is necessary for me during the day time. My side effects: lightheaded, dizzy, nasty taste in my mouth. It does take about an hour before it kicks in. The orodispersible tablets are not nice, taste like blueberries, only worse. But they work.
