Branded levocetirizine (Sandoz) from the GP for terrible itching all over my body. After I took it, the itch disappeared straight away but in its place I became inexplicably tired. According to the patient information leaflet this can last for a couple of days. I have extremely dry skin particularly in the winter. This helps a bit but the side effects seem to be worse than the problem itself. Fatigue, sometimes short of breath, weight gain and I recognise other side effects from the list too. Unfortunately I haven't found an alternative but at least it takes the edge off the itch.
