Hey everyone, My mother has just been prescribed Furosemide. It does help, reduces fluid retention but she has to spend 6 hours a day on the loo. Mostly overnight. There was no monitoring of her medication. She was itchy all over her body and had a metallic taste in her mouth and terrible stomach ache. She was given gastric protectors, she took her medication as she had been instructed, always on time. Then one doctor prescribed her Lasix and metformin for the onset of diabetes, which she had never had before as a result of a blood test. She passed away because of declining kidney function. You can't prove anything but how is it that at the age of 65 she went from 70% kidney function to 17%?
