Seroquel

quetiapine fumarate (300mg) for schizoaffective disorder (SAD or SZA)
First of all I had the usual dose 2 x 300 mg. Needed to pee every 15 minutes for 4 hours after taking it. Then I had 2 x 300 mg extended release. Couldn't pee at all and had to go to the emergency GP. Seemed to be urine retention, a side effect of the Seroquel! What a nightmare!! Stopped straight away with the total daily dose of 600 mg. Emergency consultation with the psychiatrist and started on Clozapine. Up to now I am handling Clozapine well.
