By taking this TCA for the first time in my life I have been able to experience what it is like not to be depressed. When my blood levels are good and I take lithium as well I am a bit happier and feel lighter. Unfortunately my blood levels fluctuate regularly and I need to keep taking higher and higher doses. I'm now on 275 mg. Can't and not allowed to drive a car and I can't do my old job in care because of the sedating effect. My dry mouth is so bad that I need to drink the whole time I am talking. If I forget to take the amitriptyline I lie away a l l night long. Without amitriptyline I simply can't sleep.
