Used progynova for 4 years in connection with the menopause. Developed vulval lichen planus after a vaginal operations. Carried on using progynova until one month ago. Everything was going really well for me, I could take on the world. But decided to stop using progynova because of increased risk of thrombosis/arterial disease. Vagifem makes up for the local hormonal deficiency where the lichen planus is concerned, but in the meantime I haven't been able to function normally for the past month because of all the side effects, of which severe headaches are the worst. In the meantime I noticed that this is worst 2-3 days after using it and then it gets better. I haven't used it for 5 days and it was starting to get better but when I used it again it came back.
