Since I initially started taking tolbutamide at 500 mg a day then from September 2013, 1000 mg a day, the only side effect I seem to have is weight gain. But because I take so many other medicines including a daily 5 mg maintenance dose of prednisone , I don't know if this is actually to do with the tolbutamide or to do with the interaction between my many medicines. My immunologist advised me yesterday to start taking Metformin as well because my blood sugars were not stable enough, under 8 mm. So now I've come on here "meamedica" to look for any negative and also I hope positive reactions.
