Recognised side effects. The diarrhoea should resolve itself. Almost 6 years going back and forth to the GP until he finally sent me elsewhere. Then it was another year until the GP actually took me seriously. The internist established an over-sensitivity to metformine and prescribed me something else. Headache and rash, I felt terrible. Back on to metformine, severe diarrhoea and really miserable. Internist said that I can't take it any more. Insulin seemed to be the only available option unless I wanted to start taking jardiance. So happy that I did it! Slowly I returned to my former self, my sugars have stabilised and I feel well again!
