Really happy. Side effect was a dry mouth. Over the past few years I have started sweating more, but I have no idea if this is actually to do with the onset of the menopause. I was really worried about the worsening of the symptoms when I switched from anafranil to this medicine but it wasn't that bad and was easily controlled with temporary calming tablets. I have stopped venlafaxine twice because my symptoms has disappeared. Coming off them really slowly is important. I suffered with some kind of electrical impluses in my head. Not painful but definitely unpleasant. I also get that if I forget to take a tablet. I am now permanently taking a low dose and feel really well.
