I was prescribed this drug for polyneuropathy and polymyalgia rheumatic on top of scoliosis in my lower back. The whole gamut had been tried: paracetamol, codeine, diclofenac, tramadol, cortico-steroidal injections, all with little or no effect at all. Oxycodone fin-al-ly brought the pain down to a manageable level so I'm super happy with it. The only comment I have is that when I've had the less common types, you get a so-called 'paradoxical reaction' - instead of feeling drowsy, you get hyperactive. Sometimes that's not really a problem in itself but it means that I can't take it before I go to bed, and nights are when the pain is the worst.
