Mirena

Levonorgestrel (0,02) for contraception / birth control
I had terrible side-effects on the pill, especially depression. In 2008 I had a Mirena fitted for the first time, the fitting was painful, but the pain went away after a couple of hours. It did the job for almost 7 years, as long as I wasn't menstruating it was working, according to my GP. Now I've had second, fitting was more painful than the first time. But it's worth doing because I find it ideal: no side-effects, no periods, although now and then the odd feeling of menstruating.
