I got just as ill from Ranitadine – pretty much all "brands" – as I did from Esomeprazol later. After having the brand Nexium for about 3/4 year on prescription from the GP the pharmacist decided to no longer supply me with this medicine from 1 January 2014 and sent the invoice to my insurance. The insurer is supposed to cover the cost of this medicine for me. The pharmacist said that he hadn't received payment from the insurance. Then he said that he would bear the costs. But in general this medicine does work quite well for the problem despite the miserable side effects. Pharmacist advised me to never take Esomeprazol again. Probably because he doesn't earn as much from it.
