I didn't really notice any side effects in the first few weeks. Then I went up to 5 mg. I got really miserable so had to go back down to 2.5 mg. Started off with sleeping badly and sweating a lot. Then I started gaining about 1 kilo a week. Then I developed arrhythmia and palpitations and suffered with lots of dizzy spells. I rang the doctor this morning and told them I'd stopped taking bisoprolol. The medicine did do what it promised. Pulse rate lowered and blood pressure too. Shame about the bad side effects. Over the past 3 years I have experimented with 15 different sorts of medicines. Each one has had bad side effects. I'm going to stop. I can't be doing with it.
