Because I had irregular periods, the GP gave me the Depo injection. The first two years were fine. Heavenly absence of any periods. The injections were pain-free. Unfortunately after 2 years I really started suffering with stomach cramps and headaches. Also have no desire to have sex any more. For these reasons I decided to stop and switch to the regular pill. When I started I didn't put any weight on. But that might be because I've taken the regular pill before.
