After many years of depression coming and going I tried medication for the first time. I knew that it would take time for it to have any effect and that it may even make my symptoms worse to begin with. That did happen, I didn't feel like myself, had a really dry mouth and had to pee a lot at night. But apart from that I slept really well! But my feelings of apathy just seemed to get worse, I couldn't motivate myself at all just got more and more tired and dejected. I gave up after 8 weeks and switched to citalopram, what a relief! Sometimes it takes a while to find something that suits you...
