18 months ago I developed bone metastases, quite serious: ribs, collar cone, shoulder blade, spine and right-sided bone structure. My PSA was 3645 µg/ml. I carried on throughout the treatment despite the pain and discomfort because it was clear to me that this medicine might save my life. My PSW is now 3.9 µg/ml and according to the bone scan, the metastases are disappearing. Painful injections – actually very painful. On the day of the injection, fever developed about 7 hours afterwards, sometimes limited to 37.8 but sometimes up to 40°C. The pain disappears after a few days (3) The fever the following day. Do I like this drug? Hell no, but it is my only solution.
