omeprazole (40mg) for gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD)
Taken Losec 40 since 1996. Always in blister strips for maximum effect. 2 months ago the strips were replaced with a pot of 30 pills. The first week they worked optimally but since then their effectiveness has become less and less. At the end of the month it was so bad that I had to go to the GP with severe shortness of breath and pain in my chest. I had Losec 20 in blister strips and started taking these which helped me to feel a little better. The shortness of breath disappeared. According to the pharmacist this wouldn't make a difference. But logically thinking about it it's normal. Each day, air gets into the pot which reduces the effectiveness.
