Started off taking Metoprolol and had a cardioversion. It worked, but 2 days later I was back in permanent atrial fibrillation. So I then switched to Sotalol because my heart rate wasn't actually that high and Sotalol works more on the rhythm. Heart rate is now a bit on the low side (41 at rest) but apart from that I feel fine. No side effects. I have to work really hard to get it up higher and I wonder if I can actually get my heart rate up high enough when I exercise. But basically pretty happy.
