I've suffered with migraines for 40 years and over the last few years, tension headaches have been added into the mix as well. I've tried all sorts of prophylaxes and had to give up on all of them because of the huge number of side effects. Luckily I have the imigran injections which are really helpful. 4 years ago I had to stop taking all medicines because I was using too many triptans. Because my headaches were frequently waking me up during the night I was advised to take indomethicane just before I went to bed in the evening. And it really has helped. But now my GP is telling me that I can't use it every day because that's what it's not designed for. And by the way, it doesn't work for me as a pain killer for my headaches.
