I've had a very bad experience with Champix. The 1st week went well and I stopped smoking on my stop date (24 May 2016). From that moment on I switched to 2×1 mg per day and everything went wrong! Low, depressed, headache, horrible dreams, cramps, maddening itchiness over my whole body and the absolute worst: palpitations! Totally not normal, it made me really scared! I went to the GP, had an ECG and blood pressure and you could see the palpitation quite clearly! The dose was reduced by half but it the symptoms remained and so the following Saturday I stopped taking Champix! I would never recommend this to anybody! Hopefully these problems will quickly disappear because it's not fun anymore! Oh and but, I haven't smoked for 4 weeks!
