I have a disease of my spinal cord (myelopathy). I have developed this because my spinal canal is too narrow (cervical stenosis high up in my neck). this damage means the signals don't always get to the right places, in my brain and in my body. where it is I have persistent neuropathic pain. the mixed up signals means that my brain thinks my left arm is on fire. and because of this fight with my brain my left arm does actually hurt: neuropathic pain. this is what I have the BuTrans plasters for.
