Because I simply cannot handle external hormones, my doctor prescribed me the mini pill. It's supposed to contain fewer hormones and so cause me fewer problems. To start off with it went pretty well, but then after a week I got my period and it lasted for about 3 weeks, even though I had started taking the pill whilst I was still bleeding. On top of that I have noticed depressive moods and intense mood swings. My libido has vanished, which is pretty annoying because I am taking this pill to avoid unplanned pregnancy. All in all a rather dramatic experience and I decided to stop it after just one month!
