After having an angioplasty in 2005, the cardiologist prescribed first Lipitor and then simvastatin. It gave me terrible muscle cramps and pain, so much so that after a few years I stopped taking it completely. I haven't wanted to take any cholesterol-reducing medicines for 4 years now. My LDL, without medication, was 2.7. My cardiologist then prescribed me Ezetrol 10 mg, just to try it. After 3 months, my LDL was down to 1.9. I only noticed side effects in the first week, in terms of going to the toilet. This really suits me and I can't think of one single side effect.
